Here are five things to avoid when playing golf:

  1.  It's important to take your time and focus on your shot, rather than rushing through your round. Rushing can lead to mistakes and poor shot execution.

  2. A tight grip can lead to tension in your arms and hands, which can negatively affect your swing. It's important to relax your grip and let the club do the work.

  3. It's natural to want to do well and shoot a good score, but it's important to stay focused on each shot and not get too caught up in your overall score.

  4. Developing a consistent pre-shot routine can help you stay focused and execute better shots. Neglecting this routine can lead to poor shot execution.

  5. Golf can be a frustrating game at times, but it's important to stay composed and not let your emotions get the best of you. Losing your temper can lead to poor shot execution and a negative impact on your overall score.

don't you agree?

Hi Golfaddict,

I can defiantly relate to golf can be a frustrating game at times, but it's so annoying when you hit a great shot and then slice the next one, I seem to lose composure, and my shots get worse. I do agree that I need not let it get to me. is there anything I can do to help me keep my composure?

Thanks,

Focus on the present shot, rather than dwelling on the past or worrying about the future, also Remind yourself that everyone has bad shots and that it's just a part of the game. 😜

If you're really struggling, consider taking a break and stepping away from the game for a few minutes.

Remember, it's important to stay patient and not let a few bad shots ruin your entire round. By maintaining your composure, you'll be more likely to play your best and have more fun on the course.
